Thomas Keller, entrepreneur and grand master of cuisine, has announced his new Los Angeles bakery, Bouchon, will open tomorrow. Bouchon will be far from your usual bakery. In addition to addictive sweets like the kouign-amann (a flaky caremalized torte-like wonder), Bouchon will also serve savory delights, like roasted turkey sandwiches with five-year cheddar, or ham and cheese on a baguette. Seems like the kind of bakery a person could spend hours in. They even have low-carb options, like salads. In case you want to take the flavor of Bouchon home with you, they sell pre-packaged coffee, caramel popcorn, and a variety of hors d'oeurves style goodies for a party or perhaps just lunch in the park. Don't miss the grand opening tomorrow, and bon appetit!
