  1. Sift together dry ingredients.
  2. Cut in shortening.
  3. Add in milk.
  4. Knead gently ½ minute.
  5. Roll ½ inch thick.
  6. Cut with biscuit cutter.
  7. Bake on ungreased sheet at 450°F for 10 to 12 minutes.


A baking powder can makes a great biscuit cutter. Use a bottle opener to cut 2 holes in one end, and leave the other end completely open.
